Maia Sandu and members of the ruling party were scared by the large-scale protest of June 19, organized by the civic movement "A New Life", in the Great National Assembly Square, and, being in panic, they are preparing to search the representatives of the "SHOR" Party leadership. The decision was taken after numerous unsuccessful attempts to persuade Ilan Shor's team to stop protesting and criticising the current regime. This was announced by the leader of the "SHOR" Party in a video posted on his Facebook page. According to Shor, at the direct instructions of the PAS leadership and Maia Sandu, law enforcement institutions, including the Prosecutor General's Office, the Intelligence and Security Service, as well as the National Anti-Corruption Centre are preparing a broad campaign to discredit the "SHOR" Party.
"The fact that there is no democracy in Moldova, we were all convinced by the elections in Balti. We were convinced that the government does not give people the right to choose, which is a basic democratic right. The current regime needs the local authorities to be the ones who do what they are told. But that too will pass. It is known that in Moldova one political criminal case after another is opened, and the opposition is subjected to the most severe pressures every day, but what is happening now is already beyond all limits and shows that a totalitarian regime has been established in our country, which spits on every rule and law," added Ilan Shor.
Ilan Shor also mentioned that the current regime understands that the "SHOR" Party can mobilize and gather a very large number of people for protests, as happened on June 19, when about 40 thousand citizens gathered in the center of Chisinau.
„The current government realises that the next such demonstration could end badly for them and has decided to act now. Therefore, immediately after June 19, representatives of the PAS leadership told me, through representatives of the "SHOR" Party leadership, that if the party I lead does not stop supporting the protests and criticizing the current government, the entire administration of the current government, namely the ISS, the General Prosecutor's Office, the National Anti-Corruption Centre, the Ministry of Interior and all other captured institutions, will attack the "SHOR" Party”, stated the leader of the „SHOR” Party.
At the same time, Ilan Shor said that he and his team will not back down and will not give up protesting and defending the interests of disappointed citizens.
„We have given a clear answer: we will not betray people's interests. For me and members of my team, this is very important, so we should not be scared. You don't need to blackmail us either: we have shown that we can fight back”, stated Ilan Shor.
We remind you that recently, the leader of the "SHOR" Party, Ilan Shor, made a harsh statement against PAS and the supporters of the ruling party, for criticizing and humiliating the protesters who participated in the June 19 demonstration in the Great National Assembly Square. Specifically, Ilan Shor said that if the authorities do not listen to the people now, there will be hundreds of thousands next time, and he and his team will support them.
