„Attacks on the "SHOR" Party and its representatives make us stronger and more united. Those who rejoice now, in a while, will be in my place." The statements were made by "SHOR" Party MP Marina Tauber at the legislative tribune before her parliamentary immunity was repeatedly lifted. Tauber also announced that the "SHOR" faction will vote for the lifting of her parliamentary immunity and urged other MPs to do so.
„I understand that you are all happy now, but you don't have to rejoice over other people's problems. Everything in this life comes back. In a few months or so, you'll be in my shoes. The history of our country has repeated itself so many times, but you, dear and not so esteemed colleagues in PAS, are not inventive. You can only use the Prosecutor General's Office and the people who work there as a political whip. How this will help you? Do you think you will make us weaker? No! On the contrary, you make us stronger, both me personally and our entire team”, stated Marina Tauber.
The "SHOR" Party MP also said that she had known since last week that her immunity would be lifted and that she would be detained.
„The fact that I am here and staying here shows that I am innocent and that I am open to working with the investigation and the institutions of law. I am glad that there are honest people in these institutions and I hope that the truth will come out”, added Tauber.
The MP urged her party colleagues to move forward and fight to the end.
„We will fight as we have done so far. Everything you do makes us even stronger, more consolidated and more united. The day will come when I will tell you what your colleagues were taking in envelopes, when and how. I hope Mr Robu will listen to me carefully. At the Legal Affairs Committee, Mr Robu was unable to prove any of the things he said. That's how our Prosecutor General's Office works”, underlined Tauber.
Concluding, Marina Tauber accused the government of incompetence and that, with today's actions, it is trying to cover its failures.
„ Dear citizens, you elected these PAS MPs, you have them, they can do nothing. They can't cope with the economic, social crisis. They have destroyed the country and they can't do anything other than shut the opposition up. You are incompetent. You are doing PR at our expense. Surveys show that you are far from the results you had last year. Your MPs are running for mayor offices because they don't want to be part of this tacky show and circus anymore. You'll get a proper response from us. I am glad that for one day you have covered the media space and can sleep soundly, but the time will come when you will have to pack your bags and leave.
