Marina Tauber to foreign embassies and development partners: we just want the money given to Moldova to reach the people

"Mișcarea Pentru Popor", of which the "SHOR" Party is a member, does not want to destabilize the social-political situation in the country, but only asks the Government to pay the bills for gas, electricity and heating for the winter months. The statement was made by MP Marina Tauber in a message addressed in English to development partners and foreign embassies in Moldova.

The MP specified that in the last two years, the government in Chisinau has received financial support from abroad of almost one billion euros.

“Unfortunately, the citizens of the poorest country in Europe, the citizens of Moldova, are now paying among the highest energy tariffs in Europe. We have the highest inflation in Europe, which has led to the rapid and terrible impoverishment of our people. This is why we are demanding that the Government, which has received a lot of money from abroad, should fully pay the energy bills for citizens for three months of winter. This is a social demand!” stressed "SHOR" Party MP Marina Tauber.

She drew attention to the fact that, these days, the regime in Chisinau, which has trampled on all European principles and the rule of law, has launched a new terror about an alleged attempt to violently overthrow the government.

“Look at these people in front of Parliament. Talk to them directly. Ask them why they came and what their requirements and expectations are. We are for actions strictly in accordance with the law and condemn the artificial hysteria of society, which leads to nothing good”, explained Marina Tauber.

She also said that Maia Sandu and the PAS government, which are presented in the West only in positive colours, do not respect human rights, democratic norms and the rule of law, have closed down TV stations, censored the online environment, captured the judiciary and are fabricating criminal cases on the names of all political opponents.

“Open the eyes of the public and decision-makers in the West to the reality of a dictatorial regime in Moldova”, concluded Marina Tauber.
