All citizens of the Republic of Moldova are called today at 16:00 in front of General Prosecutor's Office to protest against the actions of the current government and to start a new life. The call comes from the leader of the "SHOR" Party, Ilan Shor, in the context of the unprecedented attacks on members of his party and the mockery to which citizens are subjected by the PAS government and Maia Sandu.
On Thursday morning, searches were carried out at the headquarters of the "SHOR" Party and at the homes of several party members. At the same time, the interim Prosecutor General, Dumitru Robu, submitted two other requests for the lifting of parliamentary immunity for the MP and the vice-chairperson of the "SHOR" Party, Marina Tauber, which were voted by the deputies of the PAS parliamentary majority. Shortly afterwards, Marina Tauber was detained for 72 hours. Marina Tauber, Ilan Shor and other representatives of the "SHOR" Party accuse the government of political harassment and of intimidating and pressuring the opposition. The representatives of Ilan Shor's party also claim that the government is resorting to these cheap shows to cover up its failures and distract public opinion from the unprecedented price increases of the last period.
„In addition to the fact that the government has condemned the people to poverty, hunger and cold, has brought the country to the brink of collapse, it allows itself to wage war against the opposition, using the political whip - the Prosecutor's Office. It cannot go on like this any longer. The country is being taken over by a group of scoundrels who have set themselves the goal of destroying the country by destroying the citizens and the opposition forces. Such a large number of political criminal cases has never been seen in the history of Moldovan justice. They promised us good times, but brought us the worst times that could be. They promised us fair justice, but brought us captured and totalitarian institutions. They promised us honesty, but they brought us lies and hide their failures with political shows. But we will not give in”, stated Ilan Shor in a video posted on his Facebook page.
Ilan Shor reiterated that the executors of the plan to arrest and open criminal cases on the names of the representatives of the "SHOR" Party are the Minister of Justice, Sergiu Litvinenco, the Chairman of the Superior Council of Magistracy, Dorel Musteata and the acting head of the Investigation Department of the National Anti-Corruption Centre, Eugen Rurac. The leader of the "SHOR" Party therefore urges people to take to the streets if they want their lives to change for the better.
„The citizens of the Republic of Moldova have a responsible choice to make: to live on in the chaos caused by the current government, to die of hunger and cold or to defend their interests. Their own interests. Not mine, not those of the "SHOR" Party or others in the opposition. The choice is yours. You can either stay home or take to the streets to defend yourself. What is certain is that, from now on, it will be even worse, given what the scoundrels in power are doing. They have no boundaries, no red lines. So I urge you all to come out, today at 16:00, in front of the captured General Prosecutor's Office, where the popular protest movement for a new life will start. We will stay at the General Prosecutor's Office until Prosecutor Robu resigns. After that, I call on you to continue the demonstration in front of the Government and not to leave until we send Gavrilita, with her bags in her hands, to work somewhere like the IMF, Europe or anywhere else, so that she doesn't torment us anymore. Afterwards, we will go to Parliament and the Presidency to demand early elections. We can't go on like this any longer. I urge you to take to the streets for yourselves, not for me, Tauber or anyone else, to get the little scoundrels in power to resign”, urged Ilan Shor.
