The "SHOR" Party team, together with the elected Bashkan of Gagauzia, Evghenia Gutul, sent congratulatory messages to Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who was re-elected President of Turkey on Sunday 28 May. Representatives of Ilan Shor's party expressed the hope that Moldovan-Turkish relations will develop a new intensity.

We are confident that this is a victory for the Turkish people, who have appreciated the efforts of the leader from Ankara throughout his time in office. We also believe that the vote is an endorsement of the independence policy of Turkey, a great country that plays an increasingly important role in regional and world politics. The "SHOR" Party appreciates Recep Tayyip Erdogan's personal contribution to the development of bilateral relations with our country, including the projects developed in Gagauzia with Turkey's support. We wish the President of Turkey good health and the Turkish people prosperity”, is stated in the congratulatory message of the "SHOR" Party.
At the same time, the "SHOR" Party, as well as the elected Bashkan, Evghenia Gutul, expressed their hope that Moldovan-Turkish relations will develop with a new intensity.

I am sure that this victory of the Turkish people will only bring prosperity to the state and support for the development of the region to the people of Gagauzia. Ankara and Comrat have developed close friendly relations over the years. Turkey offers a great deal of economic support to the autonomous region. I am convinced that these good relations will lead to the implementation of social projects aimed at improving the life of Gagauzia's inhabitants”, mentioned Evghenia Gutul in her congratulatory message in Turkish and Russian.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan won 52.14% of the vote in the second round of Turkey's presidential elections. Erdogan thus enters his third decade in office.
