Magazine Sociale (Social Shops) “Merișor” were created to support socially vulnerable layers of society. Thus, from its services can benefit pensioners, veterans, people with special needs and the disadvantaged.
They are issued with membership cards, which allow them to buy food and household products at reduced prices. At the same time, bread costs here just two lei.
At present, two or three social shops are opened every month in Moldovan towns, and the "Mobile Social Shop" project is widespread in rural localities. For us, it is of the utmost importance to help people living in the villages, because it is here that the most vulnerable people in the country dwell today, living well below the poverty line. This is the area of our social responsibility.
In total, we plan to open over one hundred social shops in the next two years.
